The Oak Cancer Centre Project

Kingston Landscape Group recently completed a rather challenging project at The Royal Marsden, for their new state-of-the-art research and treatment facility, known as The Oak Cancer Centre.  We supplied and installed all the trees and plants on-site totaling 37 trees and just over 6000 plants plus two very large oaks outside and two ‘shady lady’ trees that are designed for indoors.   For the installation of the ‘Shady Ladies’ we had to hire a mini electrical crane to left them into planters, this all happened inside the finished building, so caused some stress to Contract Manager Rob Parmenter and our HSEQ Manager Tom Welch, who managed the delicate task ensuring no damage was done and the area was kept clean and safe.

The results of the project speak for themselves and the indoor trees create a calming environment, The Oak Cancer Centre was officially opened by His Royal Highness Prince William, The Prince of Wales on June 8th 2023.
