Quantity Surveyor

Company Overview

An excellent opportunity has arisen at Kingston Landscape Group (KLG) within the Commercial Department based out of Egham at our HQ. The company would like to take on a Quantity Surveyor. The role reports directly to the Senior Management team, with room for this role to expand as the company grows. KLG are a Soft and Hard Landscaping contractor predominantly servicing main contractors and developers across central London and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

  • Take ownership of contractual and commercial aspects on multiple projects
  • Assisting the operations team with commercial matters
  • Compile and issue invitations to tender, analyse subcontractor quotations and make recommendations for placement of orders
  • Dealing with change, including variations and add and omit schedule
  • Preparation and agreement of final accounts with clients
  • Ensuring payments are received in line with applications and dealing with any queries
  • Preparing and presenting CVR and Project Profitability reports
  • Managing cost control/cost mitigation across all live projects
  • Attending pre order meetings and client meetings as required
  • Ensuring projects are in line with budgets and profit margins
  • Assisting with procurement of materials
  • Recording variations and including them in applications for payment
  • Maintain accurate and organised project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, and correspondence.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Quantity Surveying: 1-2 years
  • Diploma or Higher Education preferred but not essential
  • Good IT skills including Microsoft Office & Excel.

Salary

The salary on offer for this position is £40-45k, dependent upon previous experience.
