Q&A with Jack Vowles – Contracts Manager

Jack first came to work for KLG in 2013 as a landscaper, eight years later he has rejoined us as Contracts Manager.  Since his first landscaping role with KLG, Jack’s skill set and knowledge have progressed through various roles within the construction and landscaping industry.  On a personal note Jack is London born & breed and enjoys everything city life has to offer.

Tell us about your role as Contracts Manager with KLG?

My role as contracts manager has me overseeing a number of projects within the company.  I need to make certain deadlines are met, right through from procurement to installation.  It is my responsibility to ensure our finely tuned plans and procedures are upheld throughout to deliver an end product that meets the high expectations our clients have come to expect from KLG.

What would you say is the most challenging part of your role?

See that tight programmes are met!  Achieving completions can be difficult when reliant on various factors, third party or unexpected delays do occur, how we react to these situations makes a big difference.  Thankfully KLG have built strong connections with suppliers & clients allowing us to act quickly & efficiently to find a solution for all parties.

What do you enjoy most about your role?

Funnily enough it’s very similar to what I find most challenging. Being able to overcome difficulties, delays etc and still achieving an end product to be proud of.

Thinking about your future with KLG, what are you most looking forward to?

Learning & Progression.  These were key factors of my decision to return to KLG.  I am really looking forward to developing my skills, through on the job experience and training. I’m really thrilled to be back and can’t wait to get on-site with the team and delivering a quality end product.
